Visit Visa Checklist for Applicants from Pakistan
A practical preparation checklist for a genuine visitor visa application: identity, finances, travel purpose, accommodation, itinerary and evidence of ties.
Start with the purpose of your trip
A strong visit visa file starts with a clear and genuine reason for travel. Your itinerary, accommodation, funds and supporting documents should make sense together. Tourism, family visits and permitted business activities can have different supporting evidence requirements.
Core documents to organise
- Valid passport and previous passports where travel history is relevant.
- Completed application form and appointment/biometric evidence where required.
- Recent photographs if required by the application route.
- Bank statements and evidence explaining the source of funds.
- Employment, business or study evidence showing your circumstances in Pakistan.
- Accommodation and travel itinerary appropriate to the actual trip.
- Travel insurance where the destination requires it.
- Invitation or host documents when the purpose genuinely involves a host, business or event.
Build a consistent story
Dates should align across your application, itinerary, hotel bookings, invitation letters and leave or employment documents. A document that contradicts another part of the file can create avoidable questions.
Previous refusals
Do not hide previous refusals. Explain relevant previous decisions accurately and address the concerns that were identified, using genuine evidence.
What not to do
- Do not submit false bank statements, fabricated employment evidence or fake invitations.
- Do not claim an event or business purpose that you are not actually attending.
- Do not rely on a consultant's percentage promise as proof of eligibility.
